Meadville has been home to Dr. Wendi Waid since graduating from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Ohio, Dr. Waid joined Conneaut Lake Veterinary Hospital immediately after graduating from veterinary school.  Her career in veterinary medicine has satisfied her compassion to help families and the pets that they love. Wendi enjoys companion animal Wellness, Geriatrics and soft tissue laser surgery. House call medicine is another interest she finds fulfilling, enjoying interacting with patients in their own homes and providing care for pets and families who may have travel limitations. Wendi and her husband, Todd, enjoy time with their twin daughter and son, Ava and Charlie. They spend much of their time at sporting events, exercising, cooking and look forward to family dinners at home together. Their family also includes a sweet black lab, Gracie Valentine, and a beautiful domestic long hair, Sprite.

Dr. Rebecca A. Stanton beckywebsite1

When Dr. Rebecca “Becky” Stanton was a child, she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and become a veterinarian.  When she was 7 years old she began her veterinary career “right here at C.L.V.H.” when she asked her father, Dr. Allan Stanton, if she could come help with the animals.  He said, “yes,” and Becky began cleaning the kennels.  Throughout her school years Becky spent a lot of her free time helping here and learning about animals the best way, “hands on.” Dr. Becky graduated with honors from Penn State Behrend in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2007 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.  She continued her educational experience by accepting an internship in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery at M.S.U., where she practiced and taught large animal medicine for one year.  In August of 2008, Dr. Becky returned to her home to do what she loves, practicing veterinary medicine at C.L.V.H. Dr. Becky is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.  In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking, biking and in the winter – cross country skiing. Dr. Becky is very active in her church and she recently traveled to Africa on a mission trip.  Her constant companion is Archie, an English Springer Spaniel, joins Dr. Becky when she kayaks and bikes.

MEDICAL CARE TEAM

paw spacerVeterinary Assistants

Our Medical Care Team Assistants are the heart and soul of CLVH. They work closely with our doctors, assisting with physical examinations and surgical procedures. They also perform dental prophylaxis, process radiographs and conduct many laboratory tests that are performed in-house for prompt results. The Veterinary Assistants also prepare and document outgoing diagnostic testing samples.

Our kennel staff strives to keep your pet comfortable, clean and happy during his or her stay here at our facility. They walk the dogs outside four times a day so they can exercise and get a breath of fresh air. Feline friends are exercised indoors. The kennel staff supplies the TLC each pet needs while they are away from home.

paw spacerReceptionists

Our Medical Care Team Receptionists are always willing to help and are very service-oriented. They schedule appointments, assist clients with choosing the best products for their pet(s), and give general advice. Each of our Receptionists is knowledgeable in hospital procedures so they are equipped to answer your questions. They are always happy to find an answer or solution for you.
