Dr. Wendi Waidwendiwebsite1

Dr. Wendi Waid achieved her Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Hiram College in Ohio.  She then pursued her passion for helping animals with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.  She began her career here at C.L.V.H. in 1990, when she began to expand the companion animal portion of the mixed (large and small animal) practice.  After four and one half years here at C.L.V.H. she worked as a relief veterinary and regional manager for a veterinary relief service.  During that time Dr. Waid traveled throughout northwest Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania, guest doctoring at over thirty practices in one and one half years.  When she returned to C.L.V.H. (her home) in 1996, as part owner, she brought with her a wealth of knowledge from being exposed to many different treatments and practices.  Dr. Waid is a highly experienced laser surgeon and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.  She is a current member of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association and Northwestern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Waid and her husband, Todd, reside in Meadville along with their twin children:  Ava and Charlie AND her family’s dearly adored Labrador Retriever, Miss Gracie Valentine.  Along with providing excellent care for our animal friends, Dr. Waid enjoys walking, cooking and she “absolutely LOVES being a mom!”  She enjoys participating in Ava and Charlie’s school activities and attending their sporting events.

Dr. Rebecca A. Stanton beckywebsite1

When Dr. Rebecca “Becky” Stanton was a child, she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and become a veterinarian.  When she was 7 years old she began her veterinary career “right here at C.L.V.H.” when she asked her father, Dr. Allan Stanton, if she could come help with the animals.  He said, “yes,” and Becky began cleaning the kennels.  Throughout her school years “Becky” spent a lot of her free time helping here and learning about animals the best way, “hands on.” Dr. Becky graduated with honors from Penn State Behrend in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2007 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.  She continued her educational experience by accepting an internship in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery at M.S.U., where she practiced and taught large animal medicine for one year.  In August of 2008, Dr. Becky returned to her home to do what she loves, practicing veterinary medicine at C.L.V.H. Dr. Becky is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.  In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking, biking and in the winter – cross country skiing. Dr. Becky is very active in her church and  she recently traveled to Africa on a mission trip.  Her constant companion is Zeva, a black Labrador retriever, joins Dr. Becky when she kayaks and bikes, at times and they spend lots of time “playing ball” in the yard. Dr. Becky says Zeva is “the smartest lab I have ever had.”

Dr. Donald J. Consla

Dr. Donald “Donny” Consla found animals interesting starting at a young age, but it wasn’t until he started job shadowing here at Conneaut Lake Veterinary Hospital, Inc. that he discovered his true passion for the veterinary profession and the human-animal bond.  Dr. Consla says, “The great thing about this field is that not only can I help animals, but through my knowledge of animal disease and medicine, I can also help their owners.” Dr. Consla was born and raised right here in Meadville. He graduated in 2011 from Allegheny College with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree (Biology Major, Russian History Minor). During his undergraduate study he continued to work here as a veterinary technician at C.L.V.H and a rehabilitation assistant at Tamarack Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center. He completed veterinary school in 2015 at Western University of Health Sciences with externships at various specialty practices including; Angell Animal Medical Center (Boston, MA) , Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center (Pittsburgh, PA), and Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital (Akron, OH).
